How to Delete Your Account – BeThere

Step-by-step guide to permanently delete your account

You can permanently delete your BeThere account through the mobile application. Please follow these steps carefully.

Important Warning: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data and events will be permanently removed.

Important Notice: Once you delete your account, you will not be able to recover any of the following data:
  • Personal account information
  • Events you created
  • Sent and received invitations
  • Payment history and transactions
  • Contacts and guest lists

Steps to Delete Your Account

Open the BeThere App

Make sure you are logged into your account in the BeThere mobile application on your phone.

Navigate to the Main Menu

Tap the menu icon (☰) usually located in the top corner or in the bottom navigation bar.

Find "Delete My Account"

In the menu options, look for "Delete My Account" option.

Tap "Delete My Account"

Tap on the option to start the account deletion process.

Read the Warning and Confirm

A warning message will appear explaining the consequences of deleting your account. Read it carefully and tap "Confirm" to proceed.

Wait for Process Completion

The data deletion process will take a few moments. Do not close the app until you see a deletion confirmation message.

What Happens After Deletion?

  • Immediate Deletion: All your personal data will be immediately removed from active databases
  • Retention Period: We may retain some data for a limited period for legal or technical purposes
  • Event Cancellation: All scheduled events you created will be cancelled

Alternative Options

If you're experiencing a specific issue, you might consider these alternatives instead of deleting your account:

  • Adjust Settings: You can change privacy and notification settings
  • Temporary Break: Simply log out for a temporary break
  • Delete Specific Events: Remove specific events instead of the entire account
  • Contact Support: We may be able to resolve your issue without account deletion
